Jonathan "JB" Flores is the founder, lead vocalist, and songwriter of JB Flores & Wreckless Heart, a South Texas country band dedicated to preserving the timeless sound of traditional country music while creating original songs rooted in authentic storytelling.
A lifelong lover of country music, Flores discovered his passion at an early age. As a child, he watched La Bamba countless times, dreaming of one day standing on stage and performing. His musical style has been shaped by legendary artists including George Strait, Keith Whitley, Dwight Yoakam, and Earl Thomas Conley, whose influence continues to inspire his songwriting and performances.
Before pursuing music professionally, Flores dedicated 24 years to a career in law enforcement before beginning a new chapter in public service as a city manager. Although his professional path led him to serve his community in many ways, his passion for country music never faded.
Today, Flores is living the dream he carried since childhood. As the founder, lead vocalist, and songwriter for JB Flores & Wreckless Heart, he has embraced the excitement and vulnerability of writing original music and sharing it with audiences throughout Texas. The release of the band's debut single, Did You Ever Find Montana, marked the realization of a lifelong goal and the beginning of a new chapter dedicated to honoring the traditions of classic country while creating music that connects with listeners through authentic storytelling and the values of faith, family, and community.
For Flores, every performance is more than a show—it's an opportunity to share stories, preserve the legacy of traditional country music, and inspire others to pursue the dreams they've carried with them all their lives.
